About The Position

itD is seeking a Technical Project Manager III to deploy and maintain high-impact retail technologies that power company Lab demo devices, retail displays, and store operations, enabling seamless customer trials and driving adoption of Reality Labs hardware. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in technical project and program management, hardware/software systems, and retail technology operations, with a track record of delivering optimized in-store technology deployment, high system uptime, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project or product management, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of hardware and software development processes.
  • Hands-on experience with bug and project tracking tools such as JIRA or Asana.
  • Ability to build and maintain project trackers for complex programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective at navigating diverse organizational environments.
  • Proven conflict management skills to maintain positive team dynamics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of retail devices and interactive display technologies is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Reality Labs or retail technology operations.
  • Proactive approach to exploring and leveraging AI tools for operational improvements.
  • Experience in vendor management, program budgeting, and large-scale retail deployments.
  • Familiarity with operational KPIs, analytics, and system optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor retail technology performance dashboards and consolidate in-market system statuses into actionable operational updates.
  • Organize and triage technical issues from company Lab store teams, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Build troubleshooting documentation to enhance field usability and device maintenance efficiency.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with retail technical support vendors and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Execute and coordinate retail demo content and software updates across AI glasses and VR products, maintaining high uptime.
  • Collaborate with analytics, core demo, and product teams to define KPIs, review engagement and uptime metrics, and drive optimization.
  • Support scalable retail technology solutions, including content deployment and device management systems.
  • Build and track program budgets and manage vendor Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with the itD practice team on thought leadership initiatives.
  • Complete client case studies and develop learning materials (blogs, media content).
  • Contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal networking events, both virtual and in-person.
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
