About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As a Technical Project Engineer II/III within the Fluids and Propulsion Engineering team, you will report to the New Product Development Manager. Your mission will be to enhance the team’s execution across the entire product lifecycle, from research and design development to the final flight hardware design, manufacturing, and production. You will manage key responsibilities, including creating and overseeing budgets, schedules, work breakdown structures, and program plans, ensuring timely and effective meeting of program needs. Location: Seattle, Washington

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing suppliers, especially those with scheduling challenges, and a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Experience in flowing contract changes to suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years managing projects/programs, covering priorities, scope, schedule, integration, and cost.
  • Expertise in critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and cost account management.
  • Proficiency in P6 Primavera, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Corporate and subcontract financial experience.
  • Collaborative and effective problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills in all formats.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cryogenic liquid, gas distribution, and propulsion systems.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic valves and pumps.
  • MBA or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification and EVMS experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including macros, Power Query, and Power Pivot.

Responsibilities

  • Drive projects across the product lifecycle, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
  • Create and manage budgets, schedules, and program plans.
  • Quantitatively manage scope through status presentations, risk assessments, and recovery plans to engineering and program management.
  • Lead week-to-week planning and execution, aligning team performance with program goals.
  • Manage programmatic key performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and risk.
