About The Position

Nightwing is seeking a seasoned, well rounded, and personable technical project manager to own the applications development and operations and maintenance of multiple IT systems. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with the Technical Directors, Program Managers, and other strong technical leaders to drive the capture of business requirements, development, launch and post-launch activities. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected with the assistance of relevant team members. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with customers and leading a project team, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to provide input and out of the box ideas to customer and project team to facilitate innovation. Maturity, sound judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Must have solid hands-on technical project management capabilities across a broad range of systems
  • Experienced Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Must have impeccable customer relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of Agile and DEVSECOPS processes
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of O&M, application developers, and project managers
  • Candidate must have experience successfully leading evaluating prospective candidates to fill staffing requirements.
  • Candidate should be able to host candidate interview sessions and provide quality candidate hire/not-hire assessments.
  • Candidate has demonstrated experience estimating projects, defining requirements, dependencies, and risks, and determining required resourcing (staff and technical).
  • Ability to assess and hire talented developers, engineers, and project managers
  • Heavy experience with MS Office Suite, Confluence, and Jira
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently
  • Strong presentation skills
  • 10-years of progressive IT Project Management and leadership experience with BS/BA in computer science or similar OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • POSITION REQUIRES CLEARANCE WITH POLYGRAPH ON DAY 1, crossover eligible.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve the quality of service provided by the team of developers, engineers, and project managers
  • Initiate and participate in team and customer meetings to share knowledge with other project managers, developers and engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems.
