Agileana is a digital services consultancy specializing in large-scale Drupal implementations, migrations, and modernization initiatives for complex organizations. We have deep expertise in open-source platforms, agile delivery, and enterprise-grade Drupal solutions. Agileana is currently assisting the United States Courts with a significant initiative to migrate 250+ Drupal 7 public-facing websites and an internal intranet to Drupal 11, ensuring compliance with federal standards for security, accessibility, privacy, and performance. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with strong Drupal expertise and federal government experience to help lead this critical modernization effort. Position Overview The Technical Project Manager will lead and coordinate large-scale Drupal migration projects for federal government clients, including the United States Courts. This role requires a blend of technical fluency, project management rigor, stakeholder communication, and knowledge of the federal IT domain. The Technical PM will work closely with government stakeholders, technical teams, designers, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with federal regulations. Candidates MUST be based in the United States, eligible to work in the United States, and be able to pass a U.S. government security background check.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Drupal migration projects from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11, including public websites and intranet platforms.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests in a federal contracting environment.
  • Track project performance using appropriate metrics and provide regular status reports to internal leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary interface between Agileana, the United States Courts, and other federal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and briefings with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage expectations across diverse stakeholder groups, including program leadership, IT teams, content owners, and vendors.
  • Lead and support technical and functional discovery efforts, including site inventories, content audits, and migration planning.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to define migration strategies, technical approaches, and implementation plans.
  • Translate discovery findings into actionable project tasks and delivery roadmaps.
  • Assign tasks and manage workloads for developers, site builders, QA testers, and other project team members.
  • Coordinate across distributed teams and subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure team adherence to Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery practices where applicable.
  • Support and oversee quality assurance activities, including accessibility testing, content validation, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure deliverables meet federal standards for accessibility (Section 508/WCAG), privacy, and security.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and production release activities.
  • Ensure projects align with federal IT policies and regulations, including:
  • Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Privacy and data protection standards
  • Security best practices (e.g., NIST, FISMA awareness)
  • Support documentation and reporting requirements typical of federal contracts.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Project Manager on Drupal projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Drupal migrations, ideally from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9/10/11.
  • Experience managing federal government contracts or projects, preferably with judicial, legislative, or executive branch agencies.
  • Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, content models, and site-building concepts.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a structured, compliant environment.
  • Experience working on federal government Drupal websites and migrations.
  • Experience with Drupal-powered intranets or internal platforms.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal web policies and guidance (e.g., usability, accessibility, security, and content governance).
  • Active member of the Drupal community and the Drupal Association.
