Technical Program Manager

PeopleConnectSan Diego, CA
$140,000 - $160,000Onsite

About The Position

PeopleConnect is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive execution across multiple teams and improve how work gets done across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and business teams and is responsible for ensuring work is clearly scoped, well-coordinated, and delivered efficiently. The focus is not on defining product strategy or owning technical implementation, but on improving execution quality, reducing friction between teams, and increasing overall delivery speed. A key component of the role is identifying opportunities to streamline program management and team workflows through practical use of AI tools. This is not an AI strategy or research role. The expectation is hands-on application of tools to reduce manual overhead, improve visibility, and make teams more efficient without introducing unnecessary process. This is an office-based role in our San Diego office, with one remote day a week.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum across teams
  • Track record of improving workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and simplifying how teams operate
  • Comfort operating in environments with limited structure and building what’s needed
  • Hands-on use of AI tools to improve workflows, not just familiarity
  • Understanding of how AI workflows are deployed to drive enterprise efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce manual work and improve output quality using these tools
  • Clear, direct communicator who can operate across engineering, product, and business teams
  • Strong judgment in balancing speed, structure, and stakeholder needs

  • Ensure consistent use of tools such as Asana for task tracking, prioritization, and cross-team visibility
  • Improve how work is tracked, prioritized, and communicated across teams
  • Introduce lightweight structure where needed without slowing teams down
  • Standardize workflows where it increases clarity and execution speed
  • Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar to reduce manual PM work
  • Automate status reporting, documentation, and coordination tasks where possible
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve team efficiency through AI without overengineering
