About The Position

Build the execution backbone behind one of the most widely adopted open-source AI platforms in production today. This role sits at the center of a fast-scaling AI developer platform with 20k+ GitHub stars, tens of thousands of weekly installs, millions of copilot interactions, and double-digit month-over-month growth. The product is already monetizing at the enterprise level and is used by companies ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 100s. Backed by $6.5M in funding (led by SignalFire), the team is small, senior, and fast-moving, focused on building the infrastructure that brings AI agents out of demos and into real user workflows. The Opportunity You’ll join a compact, high-velocity engineering team building the interaction layer for AI agents - the critical surface where humans and AI collaborate inside real products. The platform is open source, deeply technical, and already trusted in production environments. As the Technical Program Manager, you’ll be the force multiplier behind execution. Your mission is to create clarity, accountability, and delivery confidence while preserving speed. You’ll design lightweight but rigorous processes that engineers respect and rely on, ensuring quality, predictability, and scalability as adoption accelerates. This role is ideal for a senior TPM who sees process as a product, thrives in startup and scale environments, and enjoys partnering deeply with engineers on complex, evolving systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Program Manager, or Technical Project Manager
  • Background working on software or SaaS products
  • Deep familiarity with agile delivery, sprint planning, and estimation frameworks
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
  • Strong technical foundation and credibility working closely with senior engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Linear, Jira, Shortcut, or Asana

  • History of coaching engineers or product managers on process maturity
  • Exposure to AI platforms, developer tooling, or open-source ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve execution frameworks for an 8-person (and growing) engineering team
  • Break complex initiatives into clear, well-scoped, execution-ready tickets
  • Drive sprint planning, estimation accuracy, and delivery predictability
  • Define and enforce standards for ticket quality, acceptance criteria, and documentation
  • Ensure end-to-end quality coverage, including testing and release guardrails
  • Build and run scalable rituals (standups, grooming, retros) that increase velocity—not meetings
  • Act as the connective tissue across engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Partner with leadership to align roadmap cadence with real execution capacity
  • Surface delivery risks early and proactively unblock teams

Benefits

  • Work on a high-impact open-source AI platform with real production usage
  • Influence how AI copilots and agents are shipped into real products
  • Join early enough to shape execution, culture, and delivery standards
  • High ownership, high trust, and direct impact on company trajectory
  • Collaborate with deeply technical builders and leaders in the AI ecosystem
