Technical Program Manager Job Overview: The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead and drive key initiatives within our Software Engineering team. The TPM will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and senior leadership, to deliver large-scale projects that meet both technical and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the leadership skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. Department Overview: The Engineering Department at SILAC is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge Annuity software solutions that support business goals and enhance customer experiences.   • Program Management - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional software engineering programs. Oversee project timelines, risks, and dependencies, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication - Act as a liaison between technical teams, product management, and business stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates on project status, risks, and changes.
  • Process Improvement - Identify process inefficiencies and help implement improvements to drive productivity, collaboration, and quality across teams. Resource allocation and tracking across all projects and teams.
  • Risk Management - Proactively identify potential risks and issues, and work with technical leads to resolve them. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate when necessary.
  • Technical Leadership - Provide technical guidance and insight, ensuring that engineering teams have the resources and support needed to meet program objectives.
  • Team Collaboration - Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment across engineering teams to ensure that goals are aligned and milestones are met.
  • Agile Practices - Champion agile methodologies that are applicable and ensure that teams are following best practices to deliver high-quality results.
  • Metrics and Reporting - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and report progress to senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in program management, including at least 3 years in a software engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, architectures, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale programs across multiple teams and functions; experienced in collaborating with senior leadership to align technical strategies with business objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences, ranging from technical teams to executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of resolving complex issues in a technical setting.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana), version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/deployment systems.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks, along with familiarity in Agile project management tools.
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certifications.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure Cloud.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
