At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we're at the forefront of the AI and supercomputing revolution. Our High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI business unit is building the world's most powerful systems, like the exascale Frontier and Aurora supercomputers, to solve humanity's most complex problems. We are seeking a driven and deeply technical Program Manager (TPM) to orchestrate the development and delivery of our next-generation HPC and AI solutions. A Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a leader who drives complex, cross-functional technical projects from conception to launch, serving as the nexus of engineering, product management, and operations. They act as the bridge between all stakeholders, ensuring that technical projects meet strategic goals, stay on schedule, and fall within budget. This role requires a unique blend of a strong technical background in large-scale systems, program management rigor, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills to manage dependencies across hardware, software, and partner ecosystems. As a TPM, you would: Manage the entire life cycle of a program (Program Lifecycle Management – PLM), from initial Concept to Release. Working with Product managers and Engineering program managers to drive the alignment of consistent processes and governance with business constraints and time to market requirements Utilize the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to create and drive an integrated schedule that tracks progress across different functional teams, including hardware, firmware, software, validation, and manufacturing and manage complex dependencies. Drive technical projects and provide leadership in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This involves managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to stakeholders. Serve as the central point of communication for the program, providing regular status updates to executives and resolving critical issues that block progress. Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including hardware and software engineers, product managers, manufacturing, and senior leadership, ensuring everyone is aligned on goals and progress. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, BIOS/firmware development, thermal engineering, and manufacturing. Lead cross functional teams and drive interlocks across all functions in the value chain including, but not limited to Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Support. Engage regularly with core team members - developing relationships, sharing best practices, identifying, and managing dependencies, identifying opportunities for improvement, fostering teamwork, and gaining synergies where applicable. As a member of the High-Performance Compute & AI Program Management Office, be an advocate for improvements to all PMO processes. Contribute ideas and improvements to transform to PLM processes Develop the skills necessary to manage solutions that are a mix of hardware, software, firmware and services.
