Technical Program Manager

ActablDenver, CO
$150,000 - $170,000Hybrid

About The Position

Hi, we’re Actabl. We’re providing better solutions for hotel companies as the world around us evolves and changes related to using technology, finding labor, and maximizing profits. Our mission is to empower the people that power hospitality. We give hoteliers actionable insights to know what to do, the tools to do it, and the visibility to know it worked. We bring together powerful hospitality tech solutions to maximize profits for more than 10,000 properties in hospitality markets around the world. Our Valued Behaviors Start with People: We are in the hospitality business and hospitality starts with people. This impacts both our being and our doing. Being: We are responsible for building relationships, earning trust, and having fun. These things are fundamental to hospitality. Doing: We will succeed if we start with great people working as one team. Empower others, speak the truth with care, and go together. Demand Integrity: Be trustworthy, be ethical, and be consistent whether someone is watching or not. Demand integrity of yourself and others to build the fabric of a high-integrity organization. Delight the Customer: We aim to delight our customers in the same way our customers aim to delight their guests. The question is not if completed a process or hit a metric, the question is whether or not the customer is delighted. Champion Innovation: We compete in the game of change and win through innovation. Think big and then think bigger when it comes to the innovation required to tackle the problems our customers face daily. Make it Happen: We show up prepared, care about the details, and follow through. Don't get distracted. Don't stop at blockers. Don't make excuses. Find a way and drive until it is done. In this role you will: As the Technical Program Manager (TPM) you will serve as the execution quarterback for Actabl's most critical Technology Modernization initiatives and to strengthen delivery across Product and Technology. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments — someone who drives things to Done, brings teams together, communicates with clarity (written, verbal, and in presentations), surfaces and unblocks issues before they escalate, and is deeply detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. The TPM is accountable for delivery outcomes, predictability, and execution discipline — and serves as a trusted operational partner to the CTO and CPO.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate Product, Engineering, and Platform stakeholders.

  • AI coding tools and their impact on engineering workflows and quality
  • Strong communication is non-negotiable in this role. This includes executive-level verbal skills, as well as written communication, structured documentation, and the ability to build clear, compelling presentations for leadership, All Hands, and board-level reviews.
  • Executive-level communication: concise, structured, credible
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Calm, clear decision-making in complex and ambiguous situations

Responsibilities

  • Platform Modernization — Program Execution

  • Own cross-team program planning, sequencing, and dependency management
  • Drive milestone tracking, risk identification, and early escalation
  • Provide clear executive visibility into progress, risks, and tradeoffs
  • Partner closely with Engineering Managers, Directors of Product, and the nearshore partner
  • Ensure delivery remains predictable as complexity compounds
  • Engineering Metrics Spine — Build and Operate
  • Own the build and operationalization of Actabl's engineering metrics infrastructure. This is a it's a diagnostic capability not just a reporting function.
  • Drive Jira and Pluralsight Flow configuration changes to enable automated, accurate DORA metrics
  • Build and own the dashboard that surfaces delivery health to teams and executives
  • Translate raw metrics into meaningful signals for Executive reviews and Board level reporting
  • Use metrics diagnostically — identify which teams have the highest rework, longest cycle times, or most deployment friction, and work with EMs to address root causes
  • AI Enablement & Productivity — Own the Program
  • Lead Actabl's Product and Technology AI tooling adoption program. This is a new, high-priority mandate that requires a forward looking owner.
  • Own adoption measurement, impact tracking, and quality guardrails across all AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, and others as evaluated)
  • Manage the AI Productivity Paradox: measure both velocity gains AND quality/stability impact to ensure AI adoption improves outcomes, not just speed
  • Build and run an internal champion network, enablement workshops, and governance structure
  • Partner with Engineering Managers and the CTO to embed AI-native workflows into daily engineering practice
  • PDLC Maturity — Consistency Without Heavy Process
  • Drive consistent delivery practices across all four Actabl product lines (ProfitSword, ALICE, Hotel Effectiveness, Transcendent), which currently operate with significant variation. Use metrics to diagnose and improve — not just audit and report.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers to understand where process inconsistency is causing delivery friction
  • Drive adoption of a unified Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) across teams — starting where the pain is highest
  • Coordinate cross-team planning and surface platform dependencies across products
  • Use delivery metrics to identify systemic bottlenecks and drive targeted improvements team by team

  • Serve as an operational partner to the CTO and CPO to keep strategic initiatives moving and leadership operating effectively. This is a sustaining, always-on workstream.

  • Drive Product and Technology All Hands — content, logistics, and follow-through
  • Run down cross-team issues, decisions, and blockers that don't have a clear owner
  • Surface and escalate delivery risks early, before they reach the CTO as surprises
  • Track open action items from executive meetings and ensure they close
