About The Position

Success as a Technical Program Manager in our Power Layer requires someone who is centered around product and engineering excellence with a bias for action. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; successfully partnering with a wide group of disciplines across the company. You will own cross-team initiatives, identify best practices and bring your industry experience to bear on a company-wide scale. You will engage with complex engineering programs, demonstrating leadership and a strong command of the tools and process required to achieve the teams’ goals. You will lead hardware & software programs in a principled way, and by example when the opportunities arise. You will have consummate communications skills, keeping up- and down-stream dependencies well aligned, and all stakeholders well-informed. You’re as comfortable writing clear and concise content for leadership as you are leading a system design meeting. Responsibilities What you’ll do Own feature delivery over mid- to multi-year horizons; manage schedules and backlogs Define project goals and delivery roadmaps; align resources with priorities and technology staging Establish and track technical success metrics including key performance indicators Translate customer requirements into actionable specifications across multiple teams; identify gaps and opportunities Define required data sets; analyze and inform impactful decisions for the feature area Resolve technical issues; anticipate risk, develop mitigations, lead communications with responsible and stakeholder teams Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement through kaizen practices Maintain awareness of industry trends and evolving technology practices How you'll do it Stakeholders will be heard inclusively Priorities will be set based upon aligned principles Direction will be set quickly and decisively

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar related technical field
  • Experience: 5+ years working experience in product or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services
  • 3+ years working in a technical capacity or working closely with an engineering team
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (ie: JIRA, ADO, etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices (continuous integration / continuous deployment)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines (engineering, product, design, QA, etc.) on high complexity projects throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Experience in developing control systems for low voltage system and/or electrified powertrain systems, such as high voltage battery control and power conversion ECUs.
