About The Position

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Our team aims to unlock higher lifetime efficiency and business utility of our physical infrastructure by fundamentally transforming how we do regional and global workload footprint management, driving an ML-first re-architecture of the resource management stack, and significantly increasing prod utilization through simplified and ergonomic product offerings. In this role, you'll be responsible for combining planning and process understanding with strong technical skill to drive high-impact resource management and fleet de-fragmentation programs to ensure Google can manage its data center capacity efficiently. You'll take a view of problems, partnering closely with Product Area resource managers and service owners, infrastructure operations teams, and engineering teams to define overall plans and resource management, strategies, track issues and manage escalations, and ensure successful outcomes. You'll help drive increased scope and scale by identifying challenges in process and tooling, and features needed to accelerate future efforts. Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably.
