Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient. Join as our first Technical Program Manager, Operations of Also’s Program Management Team. You’ll be responsible for driving execution of manufacturing for our small electric vehicle products. You will partner with TPMs, GSMs, manufacturing, quality, and hardware engineering teams driving consumer level products through NPI. You’ll work with our manufacturing partners and supply chain teams to ensure we can productionize our vehicles to deliver quality products at scale as well as sustain product post-launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of overall experience
  • Proven track record in managing NPI programs and launching products into mass production.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional influence without direct authority.
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers (especially in Asia).
  • Experience with complex hardware involving PCBA, mechanical assemblies, batteries, and plastics in industries such as consumer electronics or automotive
  • Proven experience launching Tier 1 manufacturing sites.
  • Skilled in project management and planning tools; proficiency with ERP systems, PLM tools (e.g. Arena), JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to ~30%.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operations / manufacturing readiness NPI and mass production schedule — ensuring timely execution, factory bring-up, tooling, production ramp plans, and operational readiness. Integrate manufacturing schedule to overall vehicle program and development.
  • Lead coordination between technical program management, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, engineering, and finance teams to align on build schedule, ramp readiness, production plans.
  • Develop and track readiness of critical manufacturing and tooling equipment across global supply chains.
  • Identify, assess, and manage program risks across hardware design, supply chain, cost, and manufacturing quality.
  • Define and implement business processes, success metrics, and dashboards to monitor project health and performance, continuously driving improvements in throughput, yield, and cost.
  • Work with global supply manager and manufacturing/quality teams to plan factory capacity, lead equipment budgeting, and ensure testability, manufacturability, and scalability of hardware products.
  • Lead operational program communications across organizational levels, providing regular updates on status, risks, and mitigation strategies to executives and stakeholders.
