About The Position

Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television that are offered on Prime Video? Do you want to define the next generation of what Amazon customers are watching? Passionate about building, owning and operating massively scalable systems that solve the complex problems involved in the digital media supply chain? If this sounds like the type of experience you'd like to help build - apply here and let's chat! We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to drive critical initiatives across the Amazon Studios' Media Supply Chain (MSC) program. MSC is transforming the end-end content post-production life cycle - including ingestion, global localization, asset management, packaging and distribution, into an industry-leading cloud-based solution called Backlot Source. This product encompasses the complete content lifecycle across five core functional areas: Source Plan (project planning and localization workflow orchestration), Source Fulfillment (vendor management and work order execution), Source Library (asset repository and discovery for all post-production assets), Source Validation (quality control and compliance testing), and Source Distribution (both first-party Prime Video delivery and third-party licensing to 120+ customer destinations). The platform manages hundreds of petabytes of content in current inventory while eliminating manual overhead and reducing delivery timelines. By 2027, Backlot Source will unify millions of asset records across the MGM library, legacy Prime Video originals, marketing content, and digital archives into a single source of truth, enabling automated content inspection, AI-powered localization workflows, and scaled distribution that supports hundreds of millions in annual licensing revenue while achieving industry-leading localization timelines for all Amazon Original titles. In this role, you will be accountable for the overall strategy and execution of a large program with considerable impact across multiple teams within a VP organization. You will own programs such as: end-to-end post-production content type expansions across multiple regions and global localization workflow optimization supporting multiple studios stakeholder groups and external vendors. You will own organizational roadmap including OP1/OP2 contributions. You will operate independently with limited guidance, defining program mission, vision, and tenets while driving teams inside and outside your organization to deliver critical solutions. As a TPM III, you will work both tactically and strategically, making trade-offs between short-term delivery needs and long-term architectural requirements. You will understand the systems in your program space including their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions. You will influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions, enlisting SDMs, Senior and Principal Engineers to ensure architectures scale to match business requirements. Your work will drive simplification and efficiency in engineering processes and architectures to unblock innovation and increase speed of delivery across the organization.
