About The Position

Phased n Research is seeking an experienced Technical Program Lead to guide advanced radar and RF development efforts supporting Army and Missile Defense customers at Redstone Arsenal. This role combines disciplined program execution with strong technical understanding of radar and RF systems. The selected candidate will manage engineering teams delivering modeling & simulation, RF sensing, and radar technology solutions in support of critical defense missions. This position is ideal for a high-performing program manager with a solid radar or RF background who is comfortable leading both technical teams and customer engagements in a dynamic R&D environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in radar, RF systems, modeling & simulation, or related defense technologies.
  • 3+ years of program or project leadership experience on DoD-funded efforts.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and risk on technical programs.
  • Working knowledge of DoD acquisition processes.
  • Experience briefing customers or senior stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical degree.
  • Experience supporting Army or Missile Defense programs.
  • Familiarity with phased array radar, RF signal processing, or radar modeling & simulation.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping or OTA-based programs.
  • PMP certification or similar program management credential.
  • TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of RF and radar development programs from award through delivery.
  • Manage cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk.
  • Develop and maintain program management artifacts including integrated schedules, risk registers, and execution plans.
  • Support technical and program reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and ensure readiness for customer engagements.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to company leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Provide informed technical guidance across radar system design, RF sensing, and modeling & simulation activities.
  • Ensure technical approaches are aligned with requirements and mission objectives.
  • Review key engineering deliverables for quality and completeness.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to resolve integration, performance, and schedule challenges.
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in an integrated project team (IPT) structure.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Serve as primary interface to assigned government program offices.
  • Support proposal development, including technical volumes, management approaches, and basis of estimate inputs.
  • Contribute to identification of follow-on opportunities within existing customer organizations.
