As a Technical Product Owner will be a key contributor driving the delivery, execution and technical customer support for Data as a Service (DaaS) Cloud Solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal and external partners to bring groundbreaking applications to our fleet customers. Your responsibilities will include defining prioritizing product features and technology requirements for various development teams to execute on. Facilitating communication and alignment between stakeholders, and ensuring that the product vision becomes a reality. What You Drive at DTNA Manage Agile Product Development: Collaborate with multiple development teams in different regions on all new feature development, including but not limited to building, grooming, prioritizing feature backlog Identify and manage inter-team development dependencies. Drive sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives to maintain a high level of velocity and product quality. Contribute to, review/approve user stories, sprint planning, and Vehicle Validation and QA testing. Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document clear and detailed product and implementation requirements and acceptance criteria. Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date product backlog and delivery timeline that reflects priorities and business objectives. Create, collect, and lead requirements for POC, MVP, MSP, and action plans, managing each strategic growth opportunity through completion. Run Pilots & Set-up new Data Services : Conduct pilots for Data service customers. Configure and set-up new environments and interfaces for new DaaS service offerings through CSGP. Incident and Problem-Solving: Prioritize incoming issues from various teams to develop an appropriate solution. Additionally, document these issues in JIRA while collaborating with cross-functional teams on solution design to drive resolution. Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutions across diverse initiatives from the development team. Lead production incidents and follow a continuous improvement philosophy. Collaborate cross-functional & global: Engage with cross-functional system owners across vehicle and IT system landscapes. Formalize requirements to their development activities and ensure their teams are fully integrated to your support landscape. Build lasting development partnerships. Increase Scalability of product through data & automation: Analyze your manual activities and step-by-step introduce automation and AI to decrease time to introduce new DaaS services. Champion data driven decision making and ensure your products success is evaluated in a measurable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited university/college and five years of relevant experience is required.
  • At least two years of industry experience in software development or IT.
  • Expertise utilizing tools to manage agile projects such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven history of delivering commercial solutions with software engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Azure environment.
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to translate product features into user stories and further breaking them down into technical requirements that are easily digestible by development teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to communicate across cultures, geographic regions and various internal and external partners.
  • Exceptional technical documentation skills.
  • Strong ability to context-switch and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable experience and comfort in presenting to leadership teams.
  • Ability to work across time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the telematics industry, with a focus on commercial trucking.
  • SAFe PO certification is preferred.
  • Strong experience with Azure IoT services such as Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Edge, Azure Time Series Insights, and Azure Stream Analytics.
  • Experience with big data tools such as HDInsight, Data Lake Storage, and Databricks is a plus.
  • Strong coding skills in at least one programming language such as Python, R, or Java is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data generated by commercial trucks and its applications.
  • Product validation experience in the trucking industry is a significant plus.
  • Strong understanding of telematics technology, IoT, and fleet management, particularly in the context of commercial trucks.
  • Knowledge in commercial vehicles, digital products, or telematics.
  • Strong understanding on Azure cloud concepts especially emphasis on IOT data analytics
  • Experience in driving data quality within the organization
  • Understanding of Commercial vehicle electrical architecture and CAN signals is a plus
  • Experience with “as a service” solutions or business models
