About The Position

This role at T-Mobile is responsible for managing complex technical products that align with business objectives and customer needs, owning the product lifecycle from vision and roadmap to technical delivery and stakeholder collaboration. The position also serves as the Product Owner for an Agile scrum team, translating business requirements into clear, prioritized work while ensuring system stability and business value. The Technical Product Manager will partner closely with Solution Architecture and Engineering to deliver scalable billing platform capabilities. Success is measured by product delivery that meets business goals, customer satisfaction, and technical performance metrics, with a focus on the reliability of critical billing and end-of-day processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in hands on technical writing production code, solution engineering, or technical architecture in large scale company/ application/product environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies backlog management, and Scrum practices.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
  • Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest.
  • Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives as Product Manager or lead technology role.
  • Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Ability to develop initiatives, features, and user stories for engineering teams creating short term and long term product roadmaps.
  • Experience delivering large and complex business and technology initiatives
  • Deep understanding of platform technologies including APIs, integrations, performance, and system architecture
  • Strong analytical and business analysis skills with data-driven decision making
  • Experience using Gitlab and use of SQL and data analysis tools
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with billing platforms, including rating, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes
  • Familiarity with batch processing and end-of-day workflows in high-volume systems
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as Java, C, C++, or Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience assessing production risk and supporting high-availability systems
  • Strong prioritization, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills in complex environments
  • Demonstrated extensive experience leveraging JIRA to manage product backlogs, prioritize features, track progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle by defining vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business and technical goals
  • Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions based on data analysis and customer feedback
  • Translate product strategy into detailed features and user stories, managing the product backlog to support Agile development teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to coordinate release schedules and ensure timely product delivery
  • Monitor product performance and quality in production, addressing defects and driving continuous improvement
  • Ensure product quality by partnering with QA to review and validate test coverage for critical billing and payment flows
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
