About The Position

Moss' Technical Practice Lead, Workday Integrations & Reporting serves as the senior technical authority responsible for architecting, building, and optimizing Moss's Workday integration and reporting ecosystem. This role leads a team of 2-3 Workday technical professionals focused on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations, APIs, reports, dashboards, and data solutions that power HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, and business operations. As both a hands-on Workday technical expert and a people leader, the Practice Lead drives the Workday technical roadmap, ensures governance excellence, and delivers innovative solutions leveraging Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Orchestrate, Workday Reporting, Prism, and/or Extend. The role partners closely with HRIS, IT, Finance, and external vendors to deliver technology that enhances data quality, automation, and business decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • 7+ years of Workday technical experience with at least 5+ years hands-on building integrations and reports
  • 3+ years of people-leadership experience (managing engineers, analysts, or technical consultants)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver high-quality technical solutions
  • Proven success in implementing governance, standardization, and scalable technical frameworks
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Document Transformation, Orchestrate
  • Workday Reporting: Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Composite/Advanced Reports, BIRT, Dashboards, Discovery Boards
  • Strong understanding of Workday data structures and HCM/Payroll data models
  • Experience with integration monitoring, error handling, security, data validations, and performance tuning
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data lakes, ETL patterns, and cross-system data flows

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with middleware technologies (Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure/AWS integration tools, etc.) is a plus
  • Prism Analytics: pipelines, transformations, external data ingestion is a plus
  • Experience developing or supporting Workday Extend applications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 Workday technical analysts/specialists with a focus on performance, quality, and professional growth
  • Define integration and reporting architecture standards, coding practices, documentation guidelines, and governance protocols
  • Own the Workday technical roadmap, prioritizing integration performance, data flow optimization, reporting scalability, and new product capabilities
  • Establish quality assurance practices for integrations, reports, security, and data pipelines
  • Lead the requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and support of Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, Document Transformation, and Orchestrate
  • Oversee integration lifecycle management including monitoring, auditing, error handling, optimizations, and performance tuning
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Manage cross-functional integration projects, ensuring timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are controlled
  • Lead enterprise reporting strategy leveraging Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Advanced/Composite Reporting, BIRT, Dashboards and Discovery Boards
  • Drive adoption of Workday Prism for data blending, pipelines, transformations, and large-scale analytics
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance to deliver real-time insights, compliance reporting, and operational dashboards
  • Ensure strong data governance through controls, audits, validations, and secure data movement across systems
  • Posse ability to independently manage projects, including cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex integration, data, or reporting issues
  • Foster strong business partnerships with technical and non-technical teams, as well as external vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships, coordinate with third-party partners, and ensure seamless downstream system connectivity
  • Support Workday bi-annual releases with technical impact assessments and integration validation
  • Champion continuous improvement, automation, and modernization of Workday technical capabilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
