About The Position

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Technical Order Support/ Systems Engineer to join our team and support the groundbreaking mission of the Space Force. Responsibilities include development and maintenance of illustrations to support MD4/ 4STS. This employee will use a variety of tools provided to enhance documentation of Technical Orders. Additionally, this employee will provide quality assurance through reviews and inspections, this role is located at Peterson SFB, Co. The Technical Order Support /Systems Engineer will: Technical Order Management Support Collaborate with government leads to inspect documentation, drawings, and equipment, and record all observations, findings, non ‑ conformances, and non ‑ compliances. Identify, track, and resolve documentation discrepancies as soon as they are discovered. Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate new program Technical Orders (TO) documents into the required Technical Order Management Agency/Agent (TOMA) configuration. Maintain all written files and information in an up ‑ to ‑ date state and store them securely in alignment with OPSEC principles and applicable policy requirements. Technical Order Reviews Coordinate with engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate Engineering Redlines into Technical Orders that deliver clear and actionable Operations and Maintenance (O&M) guidance. Perform annual reviews of all managed Technical Orders to verify consistency, accuracy, and clarity. Technical Writing : Develop new TOs for assigned systems in accordance with USAF Technical Order TO 00-5-3 AF Technical Order Life Cycle Management. Convert legacy materials into comprehensive, accurate, and updated TO content. Demonstrate proficiency in SGML Document Type Definitions (DTDs) and XML schemas. Illustrations: Review drawings in CorelDraw, AutoCAD or other vector drawing software for accuracy and clarity. Verify that all drawings updated with engineering redlines accurately and fully reflect the approved Technical Order content. Support and Compliance : Support legacy documentation and maintain compliance with style and format as directed by the TOMA.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, graphic design, English or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, CorelDraw, or other vector drawing software.
  • Proficient in the use of SGML, XML.
  • Clearance: SECRET.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced interpreting engineering redline drawings and applying updates accurately to technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of SBIRS infrastructure, including its architecture, mission components, and system interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of RFPs, ECPs, PRs, ICDs, ITOs, PCRs, and RCs.
  • Proficient with eTIMS, including effective navigation, data retrieval, and management of Technical Order records and workflows.
