About The Position

The System Simulation Fleet Support team is responsible for building and adapting aerodynamic and Multi Body Simulation wind turbine models and executing loads studies to support root cause analysis for field issues coming from operating turbines. The team also uses actual wind turbine field data and specialized tools to understand real-world turbine operation and loading and compare back to design intent. The Technical Leader – System Simulation Fleet Support is responsible for: Providing technical guidance & strategy definition for Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) investigations related to turbine operation and loads. Using field data to diagnose and provide technical recommendations for the development of containment and corrective actions for RCAs or field events. Influencing and developing loads simulation standard work for RCA and field-related processes. Communicating lessons learned from field investigations back to design teams. Guiding, training, mentoring, and supporting peers within team and across other teams in the definition and execution of simulation work to support field-related cases. Maintain broad awareness of related RCAs/field cases and assure technical excellence, timely completion of deliverables, and responsiveness to stakeholders. Coordinating and fostering collaboration across System Simulation teams to ensure field cases are resolved in a timely and accurate manner. Assisting PL in fleet support daily management tasks and reviews within System Simulation and across other organizations like Fleet Performance Management, Systems and Controls. Providing career mentoring & coaching to younger engineers.
