About The Position

The Technical Leader will provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination of the efforts by the Transient Analysis team supporting the BWRX mega-project. This individual must have excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills as they will be required to interface with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds. Additionally, this position has direct customer-facing opportunities through training, deliverables, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years commercial nuclear power industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering.
  • Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods (eg, TRAC, RELAP)
  • Understand standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
  • Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR.
  • Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
  • Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity.
  • Demonstrate a strong personal commitment and determination.
  • Detail-oriented and accountable for results.
  • Communicate with credibility and confidence.
  • Display a strong drive for continuous improvement.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules.
  • Work effectively and make positive contributions in a dynamic team environment.
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
  • Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables.
  • Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring.
  • Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions.
  • Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes.
