About The Position

Join the Navigation and Sensor Systems organization at BAE Systems in Cedar Rapids, a growing business area developing advanced military navigation systems. This role is for Electrical or Computer Engineering students. BAE Systems provides navigation systems that create routes and keep pilots on course for aircraft. The company works on advanced electronics for military applications across air, land, sea, and space, developing future technology today. This position is part of BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, designed for interns to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. Requirements

  • Must have completed your Junior or Senior year of a four year degree program in a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Knowledgeable and skilled with a variety of engineering principals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Going into your senior year for a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer or Electrical
  • High motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products
  • Circuit design experience
  • Software experience in C# and C++

Responsibilities

  • Design the hardware and/or software test solutions for Navigation and Sensor Systems products (GPS receivers, and microelectronics)
  • Develop thermal and vibration test solutions for environmental stress and screening requirements
  • Provide engineering support of test solutions in engineering labs and operations
