About The Position

Role & Responsibilities: • Lead Plant Technical Team comprised of 1 electrical supervisor, 2 PCL technicians, and 6 electricians. • Responsible for maintenance of all plant electrical equipment and installation of all new electrical equipment for the Plant. • Accountable for maintaining high levels of crew safety performance. • Execution of the plant RPM program. • Develop and execute the preventative maintenance program for all electrical equipment and direct the use of this program for inspections and repairs. • Maintain accurate documentation for all motors and electrical systems to facilitate prompt troubleshooting and maintain plant production capacity. • Design of new electrical installations and control circuits and performs the necessary layout work for all new installation. • Responsible for collaborating with other plant functions as needed to ensure optimum coordination of activities. • Training, coaching, developing, and retaining competent employees to ensure appropriate depth and skill proficiency. • Engage employees in pursuit of a positive and productive work environment. • Drive continuous improvement efforts within the Electrical function. • Provides documentation and ongoing technical support of all plant PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and DCS systems in an industrial automation environment • Incorporate Safety into all aspects of the operation and ensure that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are followed at all times. • Will evaluate software modification requests and assign work orders as needed to technical personnel • Works directly with electrical supervisor to identify training needs for the electrical group as well as individuals. • Responsible for following and upholding components of the RPM Model for all assigned areas • Take lead role in training and developing of assigned employees in the skills needed to achieve key performance metrics. • Able to build rapport with employees through effective communication and engagement efforts. • Must be willing to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. • Adaptable to shift assignment and overtime requirements. Qualifications & Requirements: • Safety-first mentality. • A strong understanding of the RPM model • Working knowledge of the plant processes • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances • Proficient in required computer-based applications and diligent oversight of assigned administrative and record-keeping tasks • Training, coaching, developing, and retaining competent employees to ensure appropriate depth and skill proficiency., • Engage employees in pursuit of a positive and productive work environment. • Drive continuous improvement efforts within Electrical function. • Must meet the requirements for an electrical supervisor as established in the plant Operator Rate Program. • Must have working knowledge of applicable PLC software and hardware • Must be able to lead employees in LEAN concepts. • Must have working knowledge of control systems components, ladder logic, function block, and HMI programming • Can read project scopes and produce drawings, BOM’s, and flow charts for project and equipment installation • Working knowledge of the RPM program and the ability to enter data, navigate, and extract information from EAM • Ability to execute an effective preventative maintenance program for all electrical equipment and direct the use of this program for inspections and repairs. • Business minded, people and results oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. • Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. • Demonstrated leadership potential including personal accountability, decision-making and problem-solving capability. • Ability to develop relationships in a diverse workforce environment by prioritizing coaching and engagement.
