About The Position

Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Technical Field Support III , who will support the Sales departments with regards to customer product maintenance, Samson program support (ICARIA), and customer training while practicing a high level of business ethics and professionalism and adhering to safety and quality guidelines in support of Samson strategy and core values. Who You Are: Interested in traveling to diverse locations including Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Australia, and throughout North America, approximately 50% of the time. Able to deliver excellent customer service through supporting customers on land and at sea. Interested in growing and developing training skills, talents, and skillsets. Able to represent Samson, the strongest name in rope, through face-to-face customer support and product maintenance. Able to work independently or collaborate with a team and contribute to future product growth and development. Technically trained and able to communicate technical solutions clearly. Able to build relationships within all levels of the diverse organization. A clear and concise communicator with a strong attention to detail. Proficient computer user who is experienced with Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs. Problem solver who can recommend and implement solutions. Able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment. Able to handle confidential and sensitive information. What You'll Do: Assist team members with customer support in regards to splicing, product installation, and product inspections. This can be done by remotely or in-field as required. Engage in active asset and customer management through gathering technical data from customers and completing data entry, review, and management of valuable customer data. Train to become an in-house expert on all aspects of rope fabrication work with customers to problem solve and develop solutions for their specific application and training needs. Support the sales department as necessary with technical support, customer training, and other services rendered. Support online training development and utilization. Learn hands-on splicing skills that are transferrable. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of field service experience, with 2 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing or another related field. Splice mastery of 4 splice methods or more.
  • Able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
  • Have or able to obtain Passport for International Travel.
  • Able to obtain any other certification/credential as required such as Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with customer data management and working with SaaS platforms.
