CV (Continuous Vulcanization) Often referred to as CV, continuous vulcanization lines are a continuous, in-line process whereby a wire with an extruded covering is applied and then passed through a tube containing the temperatures and pressures necessary to complete vulcanization. Vulcanization is the process of extruding a rubber or rubber-like (thermoset) compound on a wire under high pressure in a uniform, seamless, close-fitting tube. The covered wire then continues into a vulcanizing chamber, where the insulation is vulcanized continuously under high pressure and temperature control.
