We currently have an opening for a Technical Engineering Manager to join our team located at our facility in Tamaqua, PA. Responsibilities Your Role: The Technical Engineering Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership to the plant’s technical, maintenance, and engineering functions. This role drives productivity, cost optimization, and product quality through technical innovation, discipline project execution, and proactive asset management. This role will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, lead capital and process improvement initiatives, manage departmental budgets, and build team capability to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of production equipment. Develop and implement standard work, troubleshooting guides, and reaction plans to strengthen reliability and operational consistency. Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives focused on equipment performance, product quality, and plant efficiency. Manage work order systems, PM/PdM programs, and spare parts inventory to ensure timely, effective maintenance execution . Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth by empowering team members to contribute ideas and develop their technical and leadership skills. Champion safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance across all maintenance and engineering activities. Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver seamless operations and continuous process improvement. Oversee the technical budget for labor, materials, repairs, and capital expenditures; develop annual spending plans and monitor performance against targets. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies, automation systems, and equipment that enhance manufacturing capability and performance. Project and budget management: Oversee the execution of development projects, manage budgets, and control costs associated with supporting manufacturing operations. Cross-functional collaboration:. Work with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure a smooth workflow and successful operation. Technology and equipment: Evaluate, approve, and implement new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Operations.
  • 7+ years of professional and process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership experience, with demonstrated success managing technical or maintenance teams.
  • Project Management expertise, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis, reliability engineering, and structured problem solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to CMMS systems.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working under pressure in a results-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed and travel occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced technical degree
  • Proven experience developing, coaching, and mentoring technical professionals
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability Excellence frameworks
