Detailed Job Description 1. Technical Coordination Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify discrepancies and technical issues. Raise RFIs, technical queries, and ensure clarifications are properly recorded and communicated. Coordinate with consultants, design engineers, BIM team, production, and site teams. 2. Precast Element Planning & Breakdown Prepare element breakdown (EB) based on project requirements and structural drawings. Categorize precast elements (walls, slabs, beams, columns, stairs, façade panels, hollowcore, etc.) with correct numbering, sequencing, and orientation. Ensure EB aligns with production capacity, lifting feasibility, and erection sequence. 3. Drawing & Model Review Review precast shop drawings, GA drawings, reinforcement details, and embed layouts prepared by BIM teams. Check dimensional accuracy, tolerances, connections, lifting points, and cast-in items. Provide corrections/markups and verify model readiness before IFC submission. 4. Production Support Provide technical input for mould setup, reinforcement placement, cast-in items, and curing requirements. Validate mould drawings and ensure production feasibility for complex elements. Coordinate with QA/QC and production during first-piece checks. 5. Site & Erection Coordination Support site teams with technical requirements during installation. Review lifting plans, erection sequence, and stability conditions. Provide clarifications for mismatches between as-built and drawings. 6. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and internal precast standards. Review NCRs, highlight design or detailing issues, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain logs for drawings, revisions, RFIs, and technical approvals. 7. Documentation & Reporting Prepare MTOs, BOQs, material lists, and element summary reports. Manage drawing trackers, revision history, and coordination logs. Provide weekly/monthly technical progress updates to management. 8. Leadership & Support Guide junior engineers and BIM modellers in understanding design intent and detailing rules. Conduct training sessions on precast standards, workflows, and connection types.
