Technical Director (Seasonal; 35+ hours per week; May to August)
About The Position
Job Details Job Location: Wolf Trap HeadQuarters - Vienna, VA 22182 Position Type: Seasonal Job Category: Opera and Classical Programming Work Schedule: Evenings and weekends during tech will be required Position Location: 100% On-site Pay Rate: Pay rate starts at $30-$35/hr. (based on experience) and is overtime eligible. Position is paid biweekly as W2 employment. Housing is available for select candidates Benefits: 403(b) Retirement Plan; Complimentary tickets to select performances; Discounts at Concessions and the Gift Shop REQUIREMENTS: Must have working knowledge of Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of theatrical construction techniques. Experience in or knowledge of budgeting, production management, and production. Proven leadership and project management ability in the performing arts. Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. A minimum of 5 years working in a professional or educational shop environment. BA/BFA in Theater or equivalent experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and reach with arms up to 50 percent of the time. Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment (i.e. calculator, copier, printer, etc.) We’re pleased to consider applicants who will be physically located in and who will have a local address in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia for the duration of their employment. The Foundation does not offer fully remote work for any positions.
