They are looking to add a Technical Buyer to their Procurement function. This is an opportunity for someone with procurement experience looking to grow their career. The Buyer will be an integral part of the Procurement function, expected to be data-driven and provide effective and efficient communication to internal and external parties. The candidate must be disciplined, have a technical understanding, and will work with the engineering department. The buyer will focus on avoiding single sourcing situations early in new item development, sourcing prototype parts and off-the-shelf brands for potential production use. This individual will interact with Category Managers, Engineers, and suppliers, and needs to embrace change, promote continuous improvement, and be flexible and agile. The role reports to a Strategic Sourcing Manager and requires experience in a contract manufacturing environment, including planning and coordinating all procurement activities such as expediting, material management, and analytical problem-solving. The buyer will be assigned to procuring electronics, fuses, connectors, components, and other items.
