About The Position

The Technical Business Development Intern will be part of the Technical Business Development organization, collaborating directly with Tech BD leadership. The primary goal is to enhance Vertiv's market intelligence capabilities and improve how the commercial organization understands customers, tracks industry dynamics, and approaches the market. This is a cross-functional role that integrates market research, competitive strategy, and commercial enablement, distinct from traditional marketing execution. The intern will be responsible for building a competitive intelligence framework to track key players in hyperscale, neocloud, and AI infrastructure markets, developing client needs assessments by synthesizing BD conversations into structured market access insights, creating an AI tools playbook to identify and deploy tools that boost team output across BD and marketing, and producing data-driven campaign briefs to equip commercial and creative teams with market intelligence and strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree pursuing MBA or similar advanced degree.
  • Data analytics proficiency, ability to interpret market data and translate it into clear recommendations.
  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Genuine interest in AI infrastructure and technology market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and enthusiasm for applying them in a commercial context.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs, pain points, and market access requirement.
  • Conduct structured research to identify where Vertiv can create the most value for new and existing accounts.
  • Translate client and market conversations into actionable insights that inform BD positioning and outreach.
  • Monitor trends across AI infrastructure, data center power and cooling, and the broader semiconductor ecosystem.
  • Analyze competitor strategies, customer data, and emerging market signals.
  • Produce regular intelligence outputs that sharpen Vertiv's strategic decision-making.
  • Support resource allocation across sales, product management, and creative teams to deliver cohesive, data-driven campaigns.
  • Identify, pilot, and roll out AI tools that improve team productivity and go-to-market execution.
  • Equip commercial teams with market context, competitive framing, and strategic direction.
