About The Position

The State of Mississippi (MDEK12) is seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in enterprise software environments. This role requires a highly skilled professional with at least 7+ years of experience in requirements gathering, technical documentation, and business process analysis within software development teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Technical Business Analyst experience
• Strong experience in requirements management and technical documentation
• Expertise in business process mapping and workflow documentation
• Experience working within software development lifecycles (SDLC)
• Knowledge of software and database development concepts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units

Nice To Haves

• MS Visio (or similar diagramming tools)
• Experience in the Educational Domain

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements
• Translate stakeholder needs into formal documentation for development teams
• Create and maintain: Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Functional Design Documents (FDD) Technical Design Documents Technical Use Cases & User Stories Business Cases Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Test Cases
• Develop workflows, diagrams, and process flowcharts
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, Developers, and stakeholders
• Support QA by creating and managing test cases
• Improve systems by documenting current state processes and business rules
• Deliver documentation for business manuals, user guides, system guides, and training materials
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
