Technical Architect
About The Position
TECHNICAL ARCHITECT (GEO): Bowhead seeks a Technical Architect to support the Pacific Installation Geospatial Engineering Office located in Pearl Harbor, HI. The purpose of this contract is to provide geospatial solutions to attain, maintain, and sustain the PACAF and AFIMSC/Det 2 GEO vision of one geospatial information structure that electronically depicts built and natural infrastructure on each Air Force installation. Responsibilities Select, size, and deploy server hardware in a distributed IT architecture Secure IT applications and information with PKI Script database, web, or desktop software tasks Troubleshoot IT network connectivity as it relates to web application or database performance Troubleshoot desktop, web, database, server problems in a DoD environment Demonstrate proficiency with other web development technologies including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, JSP, ASP, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, REST, SQL, etc. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field Three (3+) of experience using, configuring, and administering Esri's ArcGIS desktop, server solutions ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, Oracle Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or equivalent work experience Experience with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS) Experience securing IT applications and information with PKI Experience Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance policies and experience with the certification and accreditation process Knowledge of advanced relational database concepts CompTIA’s Security+ certification Preferred Qualifications: M.S. degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline Experience with the DAF GEO Program Familiarity with SharePoint, Tomcat, JDK, JK Experience with securing web mapping applications Knowledge of SDSFIE Ability to produce technical documentation Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically Pay Range: P ay will be determined after contract award based on position, requireiements, and education. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
- Three (3+) of experience using, configuring, and administering Esri's ArcGIS desktop, server solutions ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, Oracle
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or equivalent work experience
- Experience with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS)
