Technical and Engineering Support Analyst The Opportunity: Provide technical and engineering support for site stand-up, technical integration, and sustainment analysis for the F-35 fleet of aircraft. Provide technical assistance for decisions regarding the deployment and analysis of new aircraft technologies and their implementation into the F-35 fleet. Offer engineering and analytical support for "as-built" assets being delivered to the user. Participate in program reviews, technical interchange meetings, technology demonstrations, and other F-35 meetings to provide subject matter expertise on technology insertion and integration into the fleet. Provide insight and understanding of aircraft status, airframe configuration, and engine life cycle concerns, including prognostic or health monitoring management systems, to ensure new technology meets the needs of the F-35 fleet. Act as a technical liaison between naval aviation groups and depot activities. Establish daily coordination of “as-built” design and design deficiency information to ensure coordinated support of fleet aircraft and operating squadrons. Provide technical assistance and aircraft design data for decisions regarding deployment, distribution, and utilization of F-35 aircraft. Serve as an F-35 Manager for all F-35 programs, assisting the Strike Division and director, aircraft material and engineering, and staff on the full spectrum of aircraft engineering and material issues. Manage program data using automated data information sources, including RF signature management, Time Compliant Technical Directive (TCTD) incorporation, Fatigue Structural Life Monitoring Program data, Period End Dates, IMP dates, and related discrepancies. Assist in creating and enforcing Performance Based Logics (PBL) and sustainment policies and agreements by determining appropriate metric definitions and values and participating in the review process for monitoring contractor performance. Act as a technical advisor to the director and other staff elements concerning all aspects of F-35 airframe or avionics programs related to management problems and interrelated readiness issues. Provide insight and understanding of aircraft status, program acquisition planning, configuration, airframe or engine life cycle concerns, and prognostic health management systems to assess aircraft combat capabilities and deployment suitability. Direct or participate in special technical projects and management improvement programs as assigned by an F-35 Officer or Aircraft Division Head. Attend F-35 program reviews and other engineering-related meetings as a weapon system technical representative. Assist with developing, integrating, and implementing maintenance and logistics plans and policies supporting the transition and future operations of F-35, including fleet management, F-35 sustainment planning documentation, Performance Based Agreements, Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs), maintenance policies, modification schedules and priorities, support equipment, and supportability both afloat and ashore.
