About The Position

Astrion in searching for a highly skilled Technical Advisor to serve as the lead technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for International Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) initiatives. Working in direct support of the Program Manager for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Foreign Military Financing (FMF) programs, the Technical Advisor is primarily responsible for designing robust, interoperable network architectures and guiding the integration of complex system capabilities. This role requires continuously evaluating and incorporating emerging technologies—such as advanced sensors, kinetic and non-kinetic effectors, and command-and-control software—into cohesive defense ecosystems to defeat Group 1 through 3 UAS threats. The Technical Advisor will translate highly technical system requirements into actionable strategies, culminating in the development of a comprehensive, technical protection plan. This plan will serve as the architectural blueprint for safeguarding critical infrastructure, military installations, Aerial Ports of Debarkation (APODs), and Sea Ports of Debarkation (SPODs) for our partner nations. Self-motivated; possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment

Responsibilities

  • Network Architecture Development: Design, develop, and map out secure, scalable network architectures that connect disparate C-UAS sensors and effectors into a unified Command and Control (C2) interface.
  • Systems Integration: Lead the technical integration of various C-UAS capabilities (e.g., radar, optical sensors, electronic warfare, and kinetic defeat mechanisms) to ensure seamless interoperability for partner nation forces.
  • Emerging Technology Assessment: Continuously research, evaluate, and integrate new and emerging C-UAS technologies to ensure defense postures remain ahead of rapidly evolving drone threats.
  • Comprehensive Protection Planning: Partner with the Program Manager to develop the technical blueprints and architectural designs required for the comprehensive protection of critical infrastructure, APODs, and SPODs.
  • Technical Advisory: Serve as the primary technical authority during meetings with foreign dignitaries and military commanders, translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable operational
