We are seeking a Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Analyst. The Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team analyzes complex accounting and reporting matters and supports the preparation of external financial statements and SEC filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. The team serves as a technical accounting and external reporting resource across the organization and is responsible for forming and integrating accounting conclusions into high‑quality, compliant external disclosures and filings. These roles offer strong visibility across Controllership and key stakeholders, with opportunities to grow and shape the team’s responsibilities to the needs of the organization during a time of significant change.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting / Finance
  • CPA required
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • 6+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or relevant industry experience in technical accounting and external reporting.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support critical close and filing deadlines, including outside of standard business hours (e.g., evenings or weekends) as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Workiva financial reporting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting and reporting matters involving U.S. GAAP, SEC guidance, and FASB standards, and ensure conclusions are appropriately reflected in external financial statements and disclosures.
  • Act as a technical accounting and reporting resource to business and functional teams and support continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes.
  • Support the preparation and review of external financial statements and related footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and applicable Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations in conjunction with SEC filings.
  • Research, draft, and refine external disclosures for quarterly and annual filings, including ongoing monitoring of evolving disclosure expectations.
  • Evaluate accounting and reporting implications of complex transactions and initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, collaborative arrangements, equity instruments, and hedging programs.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent application of accounting conclusions and alignment with external reporting requirements.
  • Monitor new and proposed accounting standards and disclosure requirements, perform impact assessments, and coordinate implementation into accounting policies and external reporting.
  • Perform benchmarking of peer and other public company disclosures.
  • Support Investor Relations team with earnings releases & non-GAAP measures reporting.
  • Support Workiva‑based reporting processes, including XBRL tagging, as applicable.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors in connection with quarterly reviews, annual audits, accounting consultations, and disclosure matters.
  • Support documentation, execution, and maintenance of SOX controls related to external reporting responsibilities.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including close procedures, financial analyses, and other closing-related support as needed.
  • Manage ESG reporting requirements, including coordination with the Sustainability team, preparation and/or review of related reporting deliverables, and responding to external auditor requests.
