About The Position

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives on complex technical challenges and enjoys providing expert guidance on financial reporting. You will lead the interpretation and implementation of U.S. GAAP standards, advise on accounting treatment for significant business transactions, and ensure consistency across the organization. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams, reviewing complex contracts and journal entries, and preparing technical accounting memos and analyses. Your work will support accurate and compliant financial reporting, influence internal policies, and contribute to a strong control environment. This role also offers opportunities to mentor colleagues and provide training on accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and industry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with accounting research tools
  • Exposure to SEC reporting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to write detailed technical accounting memos
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex accounting concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 10%)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and prepare technical accounting memos on areas such as business combinations, equity instruments, revenue recognition, and segment reporting
  • Lead quarterly and annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analyses, documenting findings thoroughly
  • Implement new accounting pronouncements and communicate their impact on financial statements across the organization
  • Support internal control processes by developing and maintaining process documentation, flowcharts, and narratives
  • Review complex, non-standard journal entries, contracts, leases, and distributor agreements to advise on accounting implications
  • Assist in preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Develop and update accounting policies and create internal training materials for functional teams
