About this role In this role, you will support Ocean Computer Group’s client base, focusing on client retention, technology strategy, IT budgeting, lifecycle planning, cybersecurity alignment, and driving growth through project and recurring services. While client advocacy and support are central to the role, this is also a revenue-generating position with expectations around expanding existing client relationships through consultative solution development. This is a client-facing, growth-oriented role that blends technical expertise with business and sales responsibility, offering a path toward a more advanced vCIO function over time.

Requirements

  • College Degree preferred (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, etc.), or, equivalent years of experience in a directly related field
  • 5+ years of experience in MSP, IT consulting, or IT management (experience at an MSP strongly preferred)
  • Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to deliver results quickly
  • Team player
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with budgeting, planning, and compliance frameworks
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise is preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cadence calls and Technology Review Meetings to develop and maintain IT roadmaps aligned to client goals.
  • Identify and support cross-sell and upsell opportunities; collaborate with internal teams to deliver project and recurring service solutions.
  • Support IT budgeting and provide clients with clear visibility into technology investments.
  • Manage the technology lifecycle, including hardware refreshes, licensing, and renewals.
  • Drive adoption of cybersecurity solutions and support alignment with insurance and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and acting as an escalation point as needed.
