About The Position

Pacific Science Center’s mission is to ignite curiosity in every child and fuel a passion for discovery, experimentation, and critical thinking in all of us. We are seeking a tech-savvy, approachable problem-solver to join our IT team in a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week). As a Tech Support Associate, you will provide basic technical support for computer systems, hardware, and software while assisting the IT team with day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with computers and common software applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
• Be customer service-oriented and approachable.
• Work independently and manage time effectively.

• Some past IT-related schooling or experience required (e.g., coursework or training in areas such as cybersecurity, network administration, or helpdesk).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Interest in Technology or prior experience in a support role & willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for basic technical assistance with hardware, software, and phones.
• Assist with managing and troubleshooting our internal network
• Assist with installing and configuring hardware and software components.
• Help troubleshoot devices and systems under guidance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Support onboarding tasks such as preparing equipment and assisting with account setup.
• Other duties assigned to support IT operations.
