Job Summary: The Senior Manager Manufacturing Engineering provides strategic and technical leadership to drive manufacturing excellence across the development and deployment teams in the Modern Manufacturing Transformation organization and within facilities across the enterprise. This role is responsible for providing elevated technical expertise in assembly, fabrication, and machining disciplines in support of advanced manufacturing technology development and supporting solving challenging problems within our facilities. Partnering closely with operations, R&D, and cross‑functional teams, the Senior Manager leads complex initiatives that improve process capability, enable new technology solution introductions, and strengthen manufacturing readiness. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future of manufacturing by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, while developing high‑performing engineering teams and delivering measurable business results. What You Will Do: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and tooling across multiple functions or facilities to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Provide technical and strategic leadership to manufacturing engineering teams, ensuring alignment to business objectives and consistent application of engineering standards and best practices. Partner with operations, R&D, and cross‑functional stakeholders to support new technology introductions, process changes, and manufacturing readiness. Lead and govern large-scale manufacturing and engineering projects, including scope definition, cost and schedule estimation, risk mitigation, and performance tracking. Analyze manufacturing performance data to identify opportunities for process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction, and ensure execution of corrective actions. Influence decision‑making across the organization by presenting data‑driven recommendations, aligning stakeholders, and driving outcomes that support strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through extensive professional expertise.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Experience leading enterprise-wide lean adoption and sustaining a strong continuous improvement culture across manufacturing organizations. Demonstrated success driving value stream improvements, work cell design, and performance benchmarking to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Proven ability to mentor leaders and teams on lean tools and behaviors to ensure long-term results.
  • Capacity Planning & Management – MFG: Extensive experience translating demand forecasts into capacity plans across multiple product lines and facilities. Strong background partnering with R&D and operations to assess labor, equipment, and capital needs, including costed capacity scenarios. Proven ability to align resources to meet business demand while maintaining service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Project Management: Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing and engineering projects from planning through execution. Skilled in cost and schedule estimation, risk identification, and mitigation planning, with consistent delivery of business results. Demonstrates strong stakeholder communication and disciplined monitoring of scope, schedule, and resources
  • Engineering – MFG: Extensive experience applying manufacturing engineering principles across complex operations and facilities. Proven ability to guide teams on engineering standards, best practices, and systems integration to improve process performance. Demonstrated success driving process optimization, resolving technical trade-offs, and improving overall manufacturing efficiency.
