About The Position

Vector Media is searching for a high-level Tech Program Manager, preferably based either in New York or Los Angeles market. This position reports to the CTO. It is a dynamic and results-oriented role that is responsible for leading and overseeing technology projects from initiation to closure, with an equal emphasis of working with both internal teams and external client relationships. This role requires strong business acumen, program management skills, and communication abilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders as well as extensive experience working with outside development firms. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively bridge the gap between the technical and business objectives. This is a hybrid role with flexible office day requirements ranging from 1-3 days per week. Base Salary Pay Range Details: $160,000 - $180,000 per year. The pay range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, work location and other factors are considered when determining the pay offered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field is preferred and/or commensurate years of experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in technology program management.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
  • Demonstrated experience management projects involving software development/integrations, infrastructure, data integration, or similar technical domains.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and budget control.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building rapport and trust with internal and external teams.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rich experience working with external development firms and stakeholders.

  • Project management certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Program Planning & Execution Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including detailed tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Lead and motivate internal program teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Monitor program progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues promptly to keep programs on track.
  • Manage program changes, ensuring proper documentation and communication to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews and gather feedback.
  • Deliver and drive continual improvement initiatives.
  • Resource Management Allocate and optimize internal technical resources across various program tasks.
  • Identify skill gaps and work with management to address training needs or secure additional resources.
  • Internal Communication & Reporting Provide regular, clear, and concise project updates to CTO.
  • Prepare internal status reports, dashboards, and presentations to track project performance and progress.
  • Security Adhere to and promote IT security best practices.
  • Travel Travel to local markets or offices to facilitate successful program executions may be required on a limited basis. The anticipated travel requirement is expected to be quarterly at maximum, unless otherwise deemed necessary by CTO.
