Requirements
- High School or GED
- EKG/Telemetry Training
- One to Three (1-3) years of clinical experience.
Nice To Haves
- BLS, ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversees telemetry monitors; accurately interpreting cardio rhythms and responding appropriately to Telemetry alarms.
- Demonstrates the ability to operate and troubleshoot all functions of the telemetry monitoring system.
- Assists Manager in maintaining supplies and equipment on nursing units following infectious control procedures.
- Communicates admissions, discharges, transfers, and expirations to the appropriate departments.
- Notifies appropriate departments of patient disposition through computer communications or phone.
- Performs non-clinical nursing tasks, completes audits, and manages logbooks.
- Protects confidentiality of patient information.
