We're looking for a Technician A who has a solid understanding of ESD fundamentals in electronics reliability technology. The Technician A (ELEC/MECH area) performs skilled laboratory work under the limited supervision of senior technical personnel. With limited supervision, performs cleaning, maintenance, and/or calibration of laboratory and equipment requiring highly skilled knowledge. With adequate training and limited supervision, performs work of an essentially repetitive nature for production of deliverable hardware. Such work shall involve complex manual skills and the operation of complex automated or semi automated equipment. With limited supervision, carefully documents their own work consistent with work unit policy in hand written form or using common computer-based software. At the discretion of the supervisor performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions.

Requirements

  • Experience using hand tools, wire cutters, wire strippers and more
  • Experience using standard electronic test equipment (Digital Multimeter, ESD certification tools, ESD Event Detector, field meter)
  • Have basic understanding of ESD fundamentals on electronics reliability
  • 2+ years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry or equivalent experience and training
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Ability to work with database management software
  • Able to communicate written and verbally.
  • Able to use Microsoft office applications.
  • Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
  • Graduate from a 2 year technical school or applicable years of experience.
  • Either two years of applicable technical education and two years of applicable experience or four years of applicable experience meets the minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ESD Product Qualifications of the ESD items defined in the ESD Quality Operating Procedure per ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements
  • Perform installation of ESD protective measures and establish EPAs
  • Conduct ESD certifications and other tasks as needed and/or assigned per business requirements
  • Perform calibration of Test Equipment to include (wrist strap monitors, benchtop ionizers, ionizing air guns, etc.) to traceable standards
  • Take part in the internal audits to support the auditors and help the facility leads closing the audit findings
  • Ensure accurate data collection and maintain ESD records
  • Actively participate in revising quality operating procedure or relevant templates for ESD controls
  • Perform process or equipment evaluation for ESD sensitivity
  • Provide feedback on different ESD control items to the ESD coordinator and facility leads
  • Notify ESD coordinator and record any delinquent ESD requirements in any workstation or facilities in a timely manner
  • Actively participate and assist during 3rd party ESD audits
  • Performs cleaning, maintenance, and or calibration of laboratory and equipment with limited supervision.
  • Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware using complex manual skills with training and limited supervision.
  • Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with limited supervision.
  • Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.
