As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations and responding to service calls. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Teaser Certification Provided
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and coordinating notifications to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, as directed by post orders.
- Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation, shift activity notes, and patrol findings, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations, and take appropriate action to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
