About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will use clear communication and customer service to support employees, visitors, and operations while documenting activity and responding to calls for assistance. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a chemical and/or petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or unauthorized access according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, tank farms, loading and unloading points, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery documentation as required, including verifying credentials and directing traffic to authorized areas.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
