About The Position

The Team Member Relations (TMR) Specialist assists in all areas of the HR function, with an emphasis on Team Member (employee) relations/engagement, leave administration and benefits responsibilities. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of human resource experience required; casino/gaming experience preferred.
  • Must have experience in employee relations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino & Resort's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance and support to management regarding departmental shift bid and re‐bid process and any seniority issues in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Responsible for processing all leaves correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS system.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Responsible for facilitating and participating in Team Member engagement activities and events, including Team Member recognition events, Team Member/Leader of the Quarter, etc.
  • Respond to all unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings when necessary. Advise and counsel managers attending unemployment hearings.
  • Assist with recruiting and training functions as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
