The Role 

We’re looking for a visionary UX Team Manager who will play a pivotal role in
shaping the future of agentic learning experiences in higher education. As an
inspiring leader and strategic design practitioner, you will guide a team of UX
designers to deliver innovative solutions that transform how students learn, and
educators teach. 

In this role, you’ll bridge strategic vision with hands-on execution, partnering
closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to translate bold ideas
into dynamic and personalized learning solutions. 

You will lead multiple workstreams across a complex product area, develop
designers through coaching and feedback, and ensure teams are focused on the
highest‑impact work.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of professional experience in UX design, with 3+ years leading designers
• Experience designing products that leverage agentic AI as well as designing with AI prototyping tools to enhance workflows
• A strong foundation in end‑to‑end UX design across complex, multi‑surface products
• Proven experience managing priorities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Confidence making decisions under ambiguity and communicating trade‑offs clearly
• A collaborative leadership style that builds trust across product, engineering, and design
• The ability to switch between hands‑on design guidance and higher‑level planning as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of UX designers through coaching, feedback, and career guidance
• Own UX delivery across a product area, ensuring quality, consistency, and predictability
• Prioritize and sequence work to balance short‑term execution and long‑term experience goals
• Partner closely with product and engineering to align roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics
• Run design planning, critique, and review rituals that support clarity and momentum
• Unblock teams by resolving ambiguity, clarifying scope, and navigating trade‑offs
• Reinforce design standards, accessibility, and design system adoption
