About The Position

Work with the CN Guidance Youth ACT Team to deliver services to those individuals and their identified families who are diagnosed with severe emotional disturbance (SED) and whose needs have not been met by more traditional service delivery approaches.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or Licensed Mental Health Counselors.
  • Three years' experience in mental health and/or chemical dependency field.

Responsibilities

  • Charged with supervisory and administrative responsibilities to ensure that staff meets the standards and requirements of the Agency and appropriate funding and regulatory bodies.
  • Direct and supervise staff activities, lead team organizational and service planning meetings and provide direction to staff regarding individual cases. Conduct side-by-side contacts with staff and regularly conduct individual supervision meetings.
  • Responsible for overseeing Assessment and Service Planning, Quality assurance and Improvement Processes, Utilization Review, Incident Reporting, coordination between Youth ACT and other systems.
  • Engage in performing assessments, handling crisis intervention and discharge planning.
  • Provide direct, face-to-face and/or collateral services to recipients either in the Youth ACT office or in the community in places and situations where problems arise.
  • Must be available (along with other members of the Youth ACT Team) on an as needed basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Manages the after-hour's calls for the team.
  • Participates in planning for the needs of the community and the Agency with the rest of the administrative team.
  • Actively engage in agency wide trainings and work groups as well as NYS specific training on and for the Youth ACT model.
  • Support the use of data in clinical supervision to inform decision-making
  • Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
