Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Davenport Function: Operations (CA) Title: Team Leader, Production (3rd Shift) - 119649 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Team Leader, Production (3rd Shift) for JD Construction & Forestry located in Davenport, IA, you will: Achieve departmental/area goals and objectives. Supervise semi to highly skilled production, maintenance, and/or parts distribution warehouse employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products and/or execution of parts orders within established delivery, quality, safety and cost standards. The supervisor is the first-line liaison between the production employees and the management staff and thus also serves the function of representing the company's interests with the shop floor staff. Shift: 3rd – 9:30 pm – 6:00 am VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
  • Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
  • Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines.
  • Supervise others working within established operational systems.
  • Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose highly complex equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
  • Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
  • Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
