Essential Functions Replace assembly operators in their absence on production lines Assist on assembly lines to assure smooth running of lines Report Abnormal Condition to Group leader and Supervisor. Conduct worker observation of team members to insure they are adequately trained. Record skill level of subordinates on MFWTT. Construct line balance and “Yamazumi” charts to increase line efficiency. Accurately Report production, in process defect, and scrap information. Conduct Preventative Maintenance of assigned assembly equipment. Travel to customer location if needed. Coordinate and document “Change Point Control” Checks data entry of Quality and Facility Checks and confirms by signature. Inform superior of abnormal conditions immediately Conduct 5S of assigned work area and teach to team member. Train new Team Members on shift for extended periods of time Rotate staffing for complete training of all operators Develop Kaizen ideas Perform Kaizen Activity on assembly line Complete daily reports and charting Train operators to standardized work Responsible for Quality and Safety of Assembly line Develop and support continuous improvement activities and improve company measurables Understand process and run the assembly equipment Audit Standardized Work (Audit Plans, Use Check Sheet) Job Dimensions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Ability to understand basic calculations with or without a calculator Knowledge of the manufacturing area—Throttle Body, Fuel Pump/IACV, Canister, Die Cast, Machining—and its products Basic computing skills, including ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel, IBM Notes, and AS400
