Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the moving industry
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write & speak English and Japanese fluently
  • Ability to clearly communicate directions to the household goods team in a professional manner
  • Ability to work overtime to meet the customer needs
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good computer skills- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide departmental support and lead the staff in the Household Goods department.
  • Coordinate and lead activities on a daily basis under the direction of Household Goods management
  • Lead the Household goods staff by providing instructions and assistance
  • With the guidance of the Supervisor, conduct general staff training
  • Ensure staff is compliant with company policies and safety policies
  • Prepare appropriate documentation needed for the move of customer’s household goods
  • Lead the packing, removing and loading of customer’s goods
  • Effective communication by email or phone in Japanese and/ or English with associates and the customers
  • Interact with customers and outside moving subcontractors
  • Assist in inventory control
  • Participate in implementing work schedules and ensuring that jobs are assigned effectively
  • Discuss and resolve issues and report to management
  • Complete all necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle other job assignments as determined by the direct Supervisor
