About The Position

The Team Lead is responsible for managing the staff within the assigned facility(s) of the Central Business Office. The Lead will be a direct liaison with the CFO of the facility and the Director of the CBO. The Lead is responsible for ensuring an accurate, timely, and consistent performance of all functions pertaining to patient accounting. Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood, IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a multi-faceted business office preferably in a health-care setting, with one (1) year supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Experience with computers and business software programs, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective implementation of collection measures for uncollected accounts
  • Provide required follow-up on all patient accounts
  • Attend weekly AR/denial meetings
  • Assist in new employee orientation and continuing education for all Business Office Staff
  • Review work of patient account representatives and recommend improvements to enhance performance or resolve problem situations
